My brushes with greatness at market

Here are some - of my brushes with greatness at market (actually, there were more, but these are just the ones that I actually got photos of).
First I saw Kimberly Jolly of The Fat Quarter Shop. I had to chase her down and she was so kind to come back to my booth and let me take her photo with me.


I was trying to find Mark - gee, like that's a hard thing to do... just listen for the clamor and look for the party and that's where you will find him. I finally caught up with him and Jeff snapped this photo of us.



I ran into Elizabeth and Pam (I was bummed, we weren't neighbors this year). I missed you guys!!!




I was able to talk to Brenda before market opened one morning. She is so sweet, ya just gotta love her!



I can't forget Sandy. She just came over to the booth and we talked for a long time - What a nice lady!! And I love her fabric too!



And lastly, I met Jessica What a doll! We talked on that hot (yes, we were on the bus without air conditioning) ride out to EE Schenck. She is just darling and young enough to be my DAUGHTER!!! Her cute husband was there too - Jeff, you earned some serious man credits for being there!!!!

Photos and such from market

Wow!!
I can't believe Market is over!
It always seems like it goes by so fast and before you know it, it's time to pack it all up and go home. But, what fun it was!!
My dear friends, Valerie, Ann, and Karen were there and braved the "sauna" like conditions on Thursday to help me set up. I tell you, they made my booth look good! I always stand there overwhelmed and they take charge and put everything up. Here's a big huge thanks to you guys. I could not have done it without you.
I went the cheap route (again) and brought everything for my booth in 4 suitcases and 2 carry ons (thanks Southwest for not charging for that second bag yet). I was so worried about the return trip because Valerie and I had made a few purchases at sample spree... But we literally had 5 lbs. to spare. Talk about cutting it close!
We're all back home now save and sound, suitcases and all.
I'll be back soon with some more photos documenting my "brushes with greatness".

I am seriously bummed that I can't find the "good picture" of Posey Basket to show you. It is very cute, made in pinks and greens with a large basket of frayed edge flowers. You'll just have to stop by my booth and see it in person!
This cute little quilt called Sweet Emotion was a last minute kind of thing. I saw the fabric at Elaine's and just HAD TO HAVE IT!

Market is almost here....

I just have to second what Pam said about Portland Quilt Market. I am so excited to see all the new fabric and everything that goes along with that, but I am also looking forward visiting with all of my friends who I blog with but only get to see twice a year. I guess that makes it more special?!!
I will admit however, that I have been fretting (something that I really excel in) about all the market preparations that go on and on and on...
But I have had a small change of heart....
The other day my girls (our quilt group) came over and were helping make the Sample Spree packs look pretty. We were all talking about market and what our plans were and what booths we would be visiting. Right then the bug bit me... I am now officially looking forward to getting there and just seeing EVERYTHING and EVERYONE!!!
So, all of you, be sure to come by and visit me at my booth # 1228!!

woo-hoo!!!

Yes, there's a big, huge woo-hoo that can be heard coming from my house.... My dear family and my sweet friend helped me stuff 3,500 patterns in 3 days!!! I am now officially finished!! Yay me!! Now just got to pack the bags and were off to Portland :)
