NATIONAL QUILTING DAY!!

Tomorrow is National Quilting Day, so in honor of that very special day I am having a giveaway!!!

Just leave a comment about your favorite part of quilting and I'll randomly draw 5 winners from all of the comments and send each winner one free Mary's Cottage Quilt pattern of their choice!!

I'll share my favorite part with you... I think it HAS to be picking out the fabric (oh, how I love fabric).

So, just tell me what part of the whole quilting process you like the most! I would love to hear from all of you!

I'll pick the winners on Monday (March 22nd) so be sure and leave your comment before 10:00 AM ON MONDAY!

Happy Quilting and Happy National Quilting day!!

Mary

OH MY GOSH, I ALMOST FORGOT... Hop on over to Riley Blake Designs blog and see my super easy and cool tablerunner!! It's a free pattern on their Cutting Corners College! These tablerunners are so easy and fun to make that you'll want one for EVERY season :)

I don't know what the tractor has to do with National Quilting Day.... I was just fiddling around with the color saturation of the tractor and I liked the way it turned out. Thank you Photoshop!

My favorite part of the quilting process is creating something new or unique to myself in the pattern I'm using and the fabric. Don't get me wrong, I love the fabric selection process, but I lately I've enjoyed making the back of the quilt a piece of art work original only to me! Thanks

My favorite part is sewing the tops together and seeing the choices of color come together.

i love all the colors and the fabrics...but what i really love is the solitude and silence of the room other than the humming of my machine...after giving 2 kids my all during the day, i love the time for myself at night. Thanks for the giveaway!! yay national quilt day!

My favorite part of quilting is sewing on the binding. I used to hate it until I found out the correct way to do it. It means the quilt is almost done.

I love fabric also!!! BUT I am a new quilter and I think what I enjoy most is taking little pieces of scraps and turning them into something incredible!

Could it also be "National Quilting Day" in Australia? Mary, my favourite part of the quilting process at the present has been the inspiration of bloggers ~ I have recently started sewing spools and am also making a basket quilt, I have felt inspired and able to buy fabrics that I would not normally have been confident to mix with. So I suppose for me my favourite part is the inspiration and support from other quilters to try new things and play with new fabrics. Ann ~ Australia

My favorite part of making a quilt is how it all comes together and hopefully looks as good as I had envisioned. I also think that it is theraputic to sew and sew and have something beautiful at the end! Oh, and don't you think that every day should be National Quilting Day!?!?!?

My favorite part of quilting is piecing the fabric together and the point where you can actually see if what you had in mind is what you got!

my favorite part?????
hmmm hard to say, I love it all, except the basting of the quilt for hand quilting!
If I HAVE to chose its the fabrics, choosing just the right fabrics for the quilt and just watching them come together.
Happy Natiional Quilting Day to you too!
I also am having a giveaway to honor the day, come visit!

My favorite part is piecing the blocks together into a top. There's just something about seeing all the pieces come together.

I love picking fabrics too, the colors, textures, and patterns are just so fun and inspiring. Watching the pattern unfold while sewing is another favorite. But nothing is more satisfying than the finished product. I just love this hobby and really enjoy the friends and relationships that have grown because of it.
Thanks for sharing.

You are so adorable! And I enjoy getting to know you more! Favorite part is the fabric, the colors that swarm in your mind and designs that pop out from just feeling the textile. Then when you complete it it's an amazing feeling that you accomplished another project!

My favorite part of quilting is arranging the different pieces, looking for just the right placement. I feel like a kid in a candy shop when I get to "play" with all the fabric! Quilting is such a calming process. I love it!!

I love your tractor picture! My favorite part of quilting is piecing the top. It's so exciting to see something of beauty come out of a pile of cut up fabric. Of course, I also enjoy the shopping part! There's always a new pattern and more fabric calling my name.
